Education Ilimitada is a coalition of educators committed to providing educational resources and humanitarian assistance to those seeking asylum and refuge in the United States.
Our name is bilingual (Education Unlimited / Educacion Ilimitada) to represent the interconnected nature of our work.
Focusing on language and literacy, we believe that education is a basic human right. Education is a crucial form of capital that is often withheld from the most vulnerable populations.
In addition, literacy practices encompass different ways of knowing, connecting, and navigating situations and contexts. For migrants, it can be a matter of life and death.

Our organization works

From refugee camps along the Mexican border to people held at immigrant detention centers, we offer educational resources, distribute essential supplies, and bear witness to their suffering. We also work with families, educators, and communities to share the stories of the people we meet and advocate for a more humane immigration system.
